MY STORY…
HEY I'M RACHEL, A HIGH-PERFORMANCE PSYCHOLOGY COACH ORIGINALLY FROM THE U.K, NOW LIVING IN SWEDEN.
Sport has always been a part of who I am. I started competing when I was five—first in swimming, then triathlons, and eventually orienteering, where I made the regional squad at 14. My dream was to represent Great Britain at a senior level, but my world turned upside down when Lyme’s disease and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome forced me to stop.
The impact of becoming unexpectedly ill was far more than just physical and I had to confront the harsh reality that my body couldn’t keep up with my dreams. Along with the physical challenges came depression, anxiety, and a sense of losing my identity.
I felt trapped—my mind still wanted to push forward, but my body simply couldn’t. It was frustrating, exhausting, and I struggled to even get through a day. Walking around my garden left me drained, a constant reminder of how far I had fallen from the athlete I once was.
That’s when I realised something had to change. I sought professional help and was introduced to psycho-education and self-help tools that helped me reconnect my mind and body. I began to view my illness not as a setback, but as an opportunity to build a healthier, more balanced life.
Through this journey, I realised that peak performance isn’t just about physical training and nutrition. It’s just as much about the mental and psychological aspects. It’s about how your mindset influences performance, resilience, and recovery. It’s learning to manage stress, stay focused under pressure, and build the mental toughness to handle setbacks. It’s about self-awareness and overcoming negative thought patterns that subtly hold you back.
HOW THINGS CHANGED FOR ME…
THIS PERSPECTIVE SHIFT SPARKED MY PASSION FOR HELPING ATHLETES, AS I REALISED THIS WAS THE MISSING LINK THAT SO MANY OVERLOOK.
These insights became the foundation of my work as a high-performance psychology coach. Today, I'm dedicated to helping athletes strengthen their mental game to perform at their best, no matter the challenges they face. I understand what it’s like to feel unsure, frustrated, and unsupported because I’ve been there myself. Although our challenges may look different, I know what it feels like to not have the answers, to be misunderstood, or to try and face these battles alone without the right tools or knowledge.
Today, I stand stronger—physically, mentally, and emotionally. I’ve found the balance that once seemed impossible. I still train six days a week, but now it’s with purpose and joy, not out of obligation or pressure. This transformation fuels my passion for helping you achieve the same—excelling in your sport and thriving in every aspect of life. With the right mindset, insight, support, and tools, I’ll help you elevate your performance and become the athlete who excels both on and off the field.

EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS
— Bachelors and Masters degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology (BPS accredited, British Psychology Society).
— Diploma in Therapeutic Coaching (recognised by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the Complementary Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the British Institute of Hypnotherapy (BIH) and EFT International).
— Continued Development Practice: trauma informed working, neurodiversity, and working with mental health.
